Nomad Bar - A Complete AV & Security Integration by Warwick Audio Visual, Leamington Spa
Nomad is a bar in the centre of Leamington Spa. Warwick Audio Visual designed and installed its sound system, lighting control, Wi-Fi, alarm and CCTV, with Control4 bringing the audio and lighting together so staff can run the venue from one app.
The Brief
Nomad first came to us for a sound and lighting system that would suit the bar from quiet afternoons through to busy weekend nights. As the project progressed, the owner asked us to take on the rest of the venue's technology as well: the Wi-Fi network, the intruder alarm and CCTV. With one installer responsible for everything, Nomad has a single point of contact and systems designed to work together from the start.
Audio
We installed Gallo Acoustics speakers throughout the bar, chosen for their slim design and clear sound at both background and party levels. They are powered by an Episode amplifier and controlled through Control4, so staff can change the music source and adjust volume from a tablet or phone without going near the equipment rack.
Lighting Control
Lighting does most of the work in setting the mood at Nomad. We designed and programmed scenes for different times of day, including daytime, evening and party modes, each set with a single tap in the Control4 app. Staff need no lighting knowledge to run the room, and the atmosphere is the same every night.
Wi-Fi and Networking
A busy bar depends on its network. We installed a Wi-Fi system that supports the POS system, music streaming and Control4 for staff, plus secure guest Wi-Fi for customers.
Security
We fitted an Ajax wireless alarm, which sends real-time alerts and can be monitored remotely, alongside Hikvision CCTV cameras inside and outside the venue with continuous recording and playback.
The Result
Nomad now runs its sound and lighting from one simple app, with reliable Wi-Fi for staff and guests and a security system that alerts the team wherever they are. Warwick AV remains the single point of contact for all of it.
