Home Cinema and Control4 Smart Homes in Sutton Coldfield
Four Oaks and the surrounding parts of Sutton Coldfield are known for large, individually designed houses on big plots. We design, install and support Control4 smart homes, cinema rooms, lighting, audio, Wi-Fi and CCTV for substantial homes in Sutton Coldfield. We are based at Honiley, about 22 miles away, so we plan visits carefully and make every one count.
We begin with a free consultation, at the house or by video call. For a house this size, a video call is a good first step before we visit.

Big houses, big plots
The Four Oaks Estate was laid out in the late 19th century, and its large houses, many designed individually by architects, mostly date from the 1890s to the 1910s. The estate sits within a conservation area, and several houses are listed. Plots are large, houses are spread over several floors and gardens often hold outbuildings.
Houses like these raise questions that smaller homes do not:
- Distance inside the house. A signal that works in a flat struggles across three floors and a garden. We design the Wi-Fi network with wired access points on each floor and one in the outbuilding.
- Long cable runs. Rooms can be far from the equipment cupboard. We plan a central rack and the routes to every room on a drawing.
- Several living spaces. A family may want music in the kitchen, a cinema room downstairs, a snug and a home office, each controlled differently. Control4 lets you run them all from one app.
- Security at a larger scale. Our CCTV service includes ANPR cameras for driveways and gated properties, with live views on the TV and phone.
The services
Cinema and media rooms. A dedicated cinema with laser projection, Dolby Atmos or DTS:X sound and acoustic treatment, plus cinema seating. We can also build media walls and integrated furniture for family rooms.
Lighting and blinds. Lutron lighting and shading, with scenes that cover large rooms and tall windows.
Electrics. WAV Electrical can look after rewires, lighting circuits and EV chargers alongside the AV work.
Renovating or rebuilding?
Large houses are often refurbished room by room or extended in stages. That makes planning important. We can agree the equipment cupboard, cable routes and ducting at the start, then build the system in phases so that the first rooms work well and later rooms join the same network. We work with architects, builders and interior designers throughout, and give them drawings they can build to.
Support at a distance
With a house 22 miles from our base, support matters. Our support plans cover health checks, updates and priority help. Where a system allows it, we can diagnose problems remotely, which often saves a visit. Premium customers get a 48-hour on-site response for critical issues.
Our installations are done by our own engineers, who test every screen, source and speaker before sign-off. Evening and weekend work can be arranged.

Questions we get asked
Do you cover Sutton Coldfield?
Yes. We work within about 60 miles of Honiley. Sutton Coldfield is roughly half an hour away by road.
Can you work in a listed house or conservation area?
Yes. We plan the work to protect the building, use concealed cabling and flush speakers where we can and tell you if anything external may need consent.
Can one system cover the house, garden and outbuildings?
Yes. We link outbuildings with a wired network connection, then control lighting, music and cameras in the same app.
What does a project cost?
There is no fixed price list. Every house is different. After the consultation you receive an itemised proposal, so you know what is included before you commit.
