Lutron HomeWorks, Palladiom Keypads and Shading for Bespoke Homes
For a larger or high-specification home, Lutron lighting and shading work best when they are designed together from the start. We design, install and program Lutron HomeWorks systems, Palladiom keypads and motorised shading for homes across Warwickshire and the Midlands, working with your architect, interior designer or builder.
This page is a planning guide. For the full list of Lutron ranges, see Lutron lighting control and Lutron shading solutions.

When HomeWorks is the right Lutron system
Lutron HomeWorks, and in particular HomeWorks QSX, is Lutron's premium system for whole-home lighting control. It offers centralised and wireless control options and suits large projects, with lighting, shading, climate, security and AV all working together.
It is usually the best fit when you are building, extending or renovating and the walls are open. Keypad positions and circuits can be planned before the walls are closed, so you are not trying to fit a system around finished decoration. For a finished home, or a phased project, RA3 or RA2 Select may suit better. We will tell you honestly which is right for your house.
Palladiom keypads
Palladiom is Lutron's ultra-sleek keypad style, available in button or touch versions, with glass and architectural finishes. It is chosen for interiors where the wall controls need to look as considered as the rest of the room.
Good keypad design is as much about the layout as the finish:
- Fewer plates by the door, replacing banks of switches
- Button wording written for your household, such as "Cook", "Dine" or "Goodnight"
- Engraving and backlighting, so buttons are clear at night
- Positions agreed against your drawings, switch heights and furniture
Which keypad ranges are available depends on the Lutron system and on UK availability, so we confirm the options at design stage rather than after you have set your heart on one.
Designing lighting for how you live
We start with a conversation about how you use each room, then produce a lighting plan and scene ideas that you can review. Scenes such as Movie Night, Entertain and Goodnight can set lights, blinds and AV together. If you have a lighting designer, we work from their scheme; if not, we can help shape one. Lutron's Ketra human-centric lighting is available on HomeWorks for projects that want it.
Shading as part of the same design
Blinds and curtains are easiest to get right when they are planned alongside the lighting, not added later. Lutron shading covers roller blinds, Roman blinds and motorised curtain tracks, with sheer, dim-out and blackout fabrics, and the option to use your own fabric on Roman blinds and curtains.
Decisions to make early include:
- Whether a window needs sheer and blackout layers
- Battery, wired low-voltage or mains operation
- Fascias and pockets, to hide the hardware
- Which keypad button lowers which blind
The result is a room that responds as one: blinds close, lights dim and the screen drops, from one press.
Bringing it together with Control4 and AV
Lutron works alongside Control4 smart home control, so lighting and shading sit on the same app and keypads as your music, TV and heating. Where a home cinema is planned, we coordinate the lighting and blinds with the home cinema design so the room has the right level of darkness.
How a Lutron project runs
- Consultation. We learn how you live and review your drawings.
- Design. Lighting plan, keypad layout, finishes and scenes.
- Specification. The right Lutron system, shades and fabrics for each room.
- Installation and programming. Our in-house engineers install and program the system.
- Handover and support. We show you how it works, with ongoing support if you want it.
Questions we get asked
What is the difference between HomeWorks and RA3?
Both give scene-based lighting control, engraved keypads and shading integration. HomeWorks suits larger, high-specification projects planned in from the start, while RA3 suits growing homes and simpler upgrades from RA2.
Can Palladiom keypads go into a house that is already finished?
It depends on the system and the walls. We check the options at survey, because Palladiom is usually easiest to plan into a new build or renovation.
Can the blinds and lights work together?
Yes. Lutron shading can be placed in the same scenes as your lighting, and controlled from the same keypads, app or voice assistant.
Do you work with interior designers and architects?
Yes. We work with your project team, from early drawings to finishes, so the system fits the design.
Planning a new build or renovation?
Tell us where you are in the project and share any drawings you have. We will talk through the options and visit to survey.
